About Me

Why counselling?
I decided to train as a counsellor for a reason some might call cliché: I wanted to help people. Having had support from a counsellor during a tough time, I knew how valuable it was to have a neutral space to talk and be heard. I wanted to offer that to others.
Starting my basic counselling course, I wasn't sure if it was the right fit. But it taught me invaluable lessons – like the power of listening over fixing, and being a steady presence in someone's storm. I consider counselling a vocation, not just a job. It's a privilege to journey with clients.
I'm now fully qualified and have pursued further training to best support my clients. I'm trauma-informed, PDA-informed, and hold various creative counselling certificates. I also draw on my degree in Theology and Diploma in Mindfulness, integrating these into my approach.
